TapeDrop™

Self-tapes,start to finish.

TapeDrop is how self-tapes move on Actorly. A casting director sends the request, the actor or their agent sends the tape, and the whole exchange happens in one place.

For casting

One click to request.
One place to watch.

When you’ve selected the actors you’d like to see audition, just click “Request tape”. You can send the invite direct to one actor, or bulk send to your shortlist. Actors and agents receive everything they need, and the tapes come back to your dashboard.

You’ll see who’s confirmed, who’s declined and why, and when each tape arrives. Tapes from actors and tapes from agencies all come to the same place, where you can watch them, download them, forward them, give them a star rating, and reply directly to the actor or agent who sent them.

For independent actors

The whole request,
on one page.

When a casting director requests a self-tape, the invitation lands in your Actorly inbox and links to a single page with everything on it: the role, the audition notes, the sides and the deadline.

You can confirm you’ll tape or decline the invitation, so the caster always knows where things stand. When you’re ready, record at home and upload as many scenes as the request needs. Once it’s sent, your tape is on the caster’s dashboard, marked as delivered, and if they want to follow up, they can reply to you directly.

Self-tape request email from casting director Deirdre Nolan to Bright Lights Agency, inviting Niamh Jennings to tape for the role of Sorcha in The Hollow Field, with the breakdown, sides attachment and an upload button.
For agents

Your clients’ tapes,
through you.

When one of your suggested actors is invited to tape, your agency receives the request by email, with the role, the deadline and everything the casting director has shared.

From there, you can upload the tape yourself, or forward the upload link to your client. Either way, their tape reaches casting and you’ll receive a confirmation email. Your clients don’t need Actorly accounts for any of it.

That’s TapeDrop

Request, tape, send, watch. The only thing we can’t do is press record for you. Yet.

Give it a go.
